Well, everyone's lacrosse season has to come to an end and wednesday it was Florida State's and SCAD's (Savannah College of Art and Design) turn.
SCAD ran into the #1 MCLA Division II seed Grand Valley State and was handled by a 22-13 score. SCAD never really got in the grove as they trailed 5-1 in the first and 13-4 at the half. Great season for SCAD who end the season with a record of 15-5.
It will be #1 seed Grand Valley State versus #5 Davenport and #6 Dayton versus #2 Saint Thomas in the MCLA Division II Semi-Finals.
Florida State ran into a similiar buzzsaw in #2 seed BYU, losing 14-7. FSU trailed BYU in the first quarter 5-1 and 10-2 at the half. I'm sure the Seminoles are dissappointed as they clearly had a National Championship in their sites, but it was not to be. FSU ends their stellar season with a 19-2 record.
It will be #1 seed Michigan versus #5 Arizona State and #3 BYU cersus #2 Colorado State in the MCLA Division I Semi-Finals.
The MCLA Championship Semi-Finals and Finals will be broadcast on Fox Sports Channel on Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21. Check your local listings for times in your area.
