Florida State and SCAD ousted in MCLA D1 and D2 Championship Quarterfinals, SELC National Championship Hopes are Toast!

Well, everyone's lacrosse season has to come to an end and wednesday it was Florida State's and SCAD's (Savannah College of Art and Design) turn.

SCAD ran into the #1 MCLA Division II seed Grand Valley State and was handled by a 22-13 score. SCAD never really got in the grove as they trailed 5-1 in the first and 13-4 at the half. Great season for SCAD who end the season with a record of 15-5.

It will be #1 seed Grand Valley State versus #5 Davenport and #6 Dayton versus #2 Saint Thomas in the MCLA Division II Semi-Finals.

Florida State ran into a similiar buzzsaw in #2 seed BYU, losing 14-7. FSU trailed BYU in the first quarter 5-1 and 10-2 at the half. I'm sure the Seminoles are dissappointed as they clearly had a National Championship in their sites, but it was not to be. FSU ends their stellar season with a 19-2 record.

It will be #1 seed Michigan versus #5 Arizona State and #3 BYU cersus #2 Colorado State in the MCLA Division I Semi-Finals.

The MCLA Championship Semi-Finals and Finals will be broadcast on Fox Sports Channel on Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21. Check your local listings for times in your area.

SELC's FLORIDA STATE and SCAD are victorious in their 1st Round MCLA Championship Game - Watch Games Live on COLLEGELAX TV!

Florida State University and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) are representing the SELC at the MCLA Division I and II Championships very well.

In MCLA Division II Championship action, #9 seed SCAD defeated a highly regarded #8 seed North Dakota State University 10-8 in a well played and highly entertaining game.The SCAD game winner was scored on an 80 yard shot while NDSU was in a 10 man ride. Pretty wild! SCAD Plays the #1 ranked and seeded Grand Valley State University today at 1PM Mountain time.

#9 seed Florida State University took down the #6 seed Michigan State 10-8 in MCLA Division I Championship action. FSU now moves on to play #2 BYU today at 1PM Mountain Time. You can watch that game live on COLLEGELAX TV at http://www.collegelax.us/cl_tv/

This is where the game turned for FSU. Central Florida played them pretty close, but this play broke the back of the Knights!

Its 7-7 3rd Quarter of 2011 SELC Semi-Final between Central Florida and Florida State. MCLA leading goal scorer UCF's DAVID DREHOFF has the ball, but turns it over. FSU runs the break with a leaping goal by FSU's #12 TOM BYRNE. FSU takes the lead 8-7 and never looks back. FSU wins the game 14-10 and moves to the SELC D1 Finals against Clemson. FSU would beat Clemson 11-6 and be the 2011 SELC D1 Champion
